Free Willy

‘Free Willy’ is a 1993 American family drama film, which was directed by Simon Wincer. The film stars Jason Richter, in his film debut, as Jesse, a foster boy who befriends a captive orca named Willy. This movie is a rousing modern day fable about hugging whales overcoming villains in black hats and freeing the enemy within. Free Willy has a kind of gentle sweetness that can be found very appealing. It is about change of a young boy discovering himself and about adventure and the ‘save the whales’ subplot makes it more than just an adventure. Plot of this movie may be a little complex for many younger viewers. But animal lovers will want to keep watching this. Therefore, it is a smart enough whick keep older viewers involving in watching too. And this would be a masterpiece not only for whale lovers, but also to all the people who study about them and for all the diversity lovers.
